The Uringa-CC Division 2 team, the Harriers, has reached the finals with their win over BigFoot2 at the fifth event of the 2013 Metro Series on Sunday.
Ondrej Pavlu was the Harrier's top runner, gaining 10 points with a run of 32.33. Other team members were Ian Jones (9, 35.44), Lawrence Jones (5, 47.31), Nick Wilmott (3, 50.54) and Matt Peters (2, 54.09).
Division 3 Kites also won on the day over SHOO1. Paul Batten led the team's results with 9 points from a run of 41.33. Other team members were Maggie Jones (8, 43.17), Georgia Jones (6, 45.12), Lisa Lampe (3, 62.56), and Margaret Wilmott (2, 72.29).
Anthony Nolan gained 10 points (29.36) for the Division 4 Falcons but unfortunately this Uringa-CC team fell to BigFoot 3. Other team members were Bronwyn Batten (4, 50.38), Dave Lotty (3, 58.45), Brian Cleland (2, 65.51) and Jim MacKay (1, 78.1).
The Division 5 Kestrels was not at full strength and lost to SHOO2. Sophie Jones led the team's results with 7 points from a run of 54.02. Other team members were Adrienne Kirby (5, 62.54), Mary Jane Mahony (3, 66.04) and Angela Murray (2, 68.1).
BigFoot provided great courses and great weather for an enjoyable Sunday morning in the lower Blue Mountains.
The Metro League finals will be held at Cataract on September 1st in association with Sydney Junior League 10 and a club event.
