News on Arthur Durham

The club has received information regarding Arthur's health from his brother in Melbourne.

Arthur played an active role in Uringa and despite his health issues, he was still able to help out at Uringa events and was treasurer until 2010/2011, when he made the decision to move to the Central Coast where he settled in a retirement village near family and friends. About 9 months ago with his dementia and health issues becoming worse, he moved to his brother in Melbourne and is now awaiting permanent placement into a high care facility.

Arthur was awarded Uringa Life membership  in 2012, and despite his health issues, he was able to travel to the AGM and accept this award. We wish Arthur and his family all the best and we hope that once a place is found for him in a care facility that he will settle in ok.
