There is no doubt that out two Sydney based uni's Sydney and NSW are great areas for sprint events. The NSW Sprint Champs at UNSW was again a great event.
The weather could not have been better with the sun poking through the clouds after some overnight rain. The crowd certainly enjoyed basking in its warmth.
The courses were challenging and the many building works within the campus made it just a little more exciting for all concerned.
Sometimes the complexity can lead to hassles. Have a look at the route from 11 to 12. Note the two sets of magenta lines running north south over the what is the obvious route. They were marking an overpass but for all intents and purposes looked like out of bounds...
it was a great day for Uringa with 4 winners: Serje in M35AS, Melanie in W45A, Dave in M65AS and Maureen in W80A.
Helen picked up a neat 2nd in W65A ( first placing for a while) and Maggie was 3rd in W12A.
Other results were:
Catherine 2nd EODH
Dick 4th M70A
Ron 4th M55AS
Gayle 4th W55AS
Terry 5th M70A
Jim 7th M55A
Ori 3rd EODM
Rupert 10th EODM
Joe 5th EODE
