Last weekend Chris Wilmott was awarded the Silva Award for Services to Australian Orienteering for his significant contribution to mapping.Chris Wilmott is these days actually a member of Illawarra-Kareelah Orienteers. He's a member of the orienteering Wilmott family (Nick his brother, Margaret, Ingrid are current members; John and Marie, the parents, are life members), and has been a member of Uringa in the past.
You will have seen Chris' name on many bush orienteering maps (or will when you eventually venture into the bush orienteering world).
