A great crowd of Uringans were on hand to ensure the event went well. Unfortunately a technical gremlin meant that despite some intense efforts and lots of technical language Leg 3 was scrapped. Competitors could still run it but it didn't count. In the calm of home the gremlin was found and dispatched. Mind you this is the third time only that I have used the software so it makes it a lot harder to know just where to look.
Dave set 3 challenging courses with lots of twists and turns. Someone was heard to remark that "it did their head in" as they battled with the navigation. All was compounded by having no control descriptions and each control had no number to identify it.
Result wise with 96 runners spread over 4 classes it was a real battle to stand on the podium. Georgia was again impressive in Junior Women, Catherine was 2nd in Senior Women. The times are the total of 2 legs approx. 2.2kms and 42 controls. The times, for some, included penalties for missing controls (punching others)

The “Castle” at Callan Park is such a beautiful building.
For many years it has been locked away and you could only gaze from the outside
and wonder what was on the inside.
In recent years it has become the creative annex of Sydney
Uni and is open during the week for anyone to wander around. Man what a great
sprint you could have through here!
